As we have said before, we have bought a domain together in honour to the solid trust we share with each other although we are torn apart by hundreds of kilometres.
No better decision has ever been taken on Earth so far: both your favourite
webmistresses are quite obsessive fangirls, good friends and scary otaku. In
fact, the domain name itself comes from a quote from Bishoujo Senshi Sailor
Moon, and, more precisely, from episode 198, in which Sailor Neptune, next to
Uranus, state their mission is "the cross that was assigned to us as soldiers",
which we reckoned a pretty cool methaphore to describe the fact that we always
tried to share our burdens and to walk on together since we got to know each
other.

[03/29/2008] Simply the product of a sleepless night. I had an enormous desire to clean this place up, and I wanted Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette to be the subject, as it is my most recent fixation, being the girl one of my favourite historical figures. I wanted to represent the suffocating feeling of anguish that had seemingly gripped her at the thought of having just approached the country she should live and marry in, with the weight of an unknown husband and a soon-to-be reign to rule over pressed on her teenage shoulder, after she left everything Austrian behind. Thus, I choose The Drowning Man by The Cure, given that I strangely associate that azure dress with ribbon to a sense of choking and drowning: the first lines of the song perfectly embodied such a concept, hence the blue-gray hue of the whole graphic. In the end, this looks nothing special, but was a pain to work on - I had a quite hard time choosing the right texture and brushes, like I'd never thought I would have, the operation itself took me more than an hour! Even so, I've finally had an occasion to try some CSS innovations on it, which turned out to be quite successful. This being said, I'm very satisfied.
